About St. Andrew's Elementary

Welcome to St. Andrew's Elementary!  We are a Preschool to Grade 7 Catholic educational establishment currently located in the downtown core of Victoria. Most of our parents work downtown and like to have their children located close to where they work.

Because most of our families are working downtown, we recognize our families' needs for child care. Our Out of School Care Programs run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. five days a week, fifty weeks a year. We know that when we have vacations, and professional development days, parents still need care - so we do our best to provide it for all your needs.

At St. Andrew's, we follow the British Columbia Ministry of Education learning outcomes. We have had great academic success and very commendable results in the annual provincial Foundation Skills Assessments. We have dedicated, hard working teachers providing a strong academic foundation for your child, and a special education and learning assistance office dedicated to making sure that each child is supported and able to reach his or her own academic potential.

Also at St. Andrew's, we believe that every child has gifts and talents that have been given to him or her to share with the whole community. Therefore we maintain a wide variety of classroom and extra-curricular opportunities to discover and develop their talents in fine arts, athletics, academics and service. We have specialist teachers for physical education, music and french. We also have many talented and dedicated teachers who share their gifts by sponsoring clubs, dance troupes, choirs, musicals, plays and teams.

All of these activities take place in an atmosphere of prayer, faith and values. We are excited about the educational adventure we are undertaking here at St. Andrew's. I hope you will get an opportunity to visit the school and see what is happening here.
